New Summer Wear Collection from Central Cottage Industries Emporium

12 day expo from May 23 on M G Road

Bangalore: The Central Cottage Industries Emporium (CCIE), on Wednesday, unveiled a new collection of summer wear at its flagship centre on MG Road, Bangalore. The special exhibition of rare collection for both men and women will be on till June 3, 2012.

A loyal customer of CCIE inaugurated the expo that was attended by several leading personalities of the city. “The exhibition has lots collections of cool and chic comfortable summer wear, which will help beat the heat. The range comprises the complete gamut of cotton sarees and men’s shirts from across the country,” said Mr. S. Mukherjee, Additional General Manager, CCIE, Bangalore.

 Some of the rare collection of sarees include Mangalagiri sarees with Nizam Border from Andhra Pradesh, Bagru, Indigo and block-printed sarees from Rajasthan, Tangail, Kantha and Dhakai from West Bengal, Chandri printed from Madhya Pradesh, Orissa cotton from Orissa and many more.

All the sarees are specially woven by the master weaver along with the designer group of CCIE. “We have put in nearly three months of efforts for this expo. These costumes are ideal for summer because they do not absorb heat. These are some of the most popular costumes,” Mr. Mukherjee added.

There is another special attraction to the event. The CCIE is offering a special discount of 15 per cent on select products at the expo.

 In addition to the summer wear, the CCIE centre will retail other handicrafts, handlooms and fashion goods and accessories. Te Cottage Emporium is the leading source for Indian handicrafts created by skilled Indian Artists and Masters of Crafts. Artist made-handicrafts, furnishings, jewelry and accessories, objects and accents for home or office are on display.
