Gandhiji brings together Amar, Akbar, and Anthony.
Hindus, Muslims, and Christians came together in Jayanagar to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, at a function organized by the Karnataka Yuvajana Sanga, 9th Block Jayanagar.
Kishore Joseph, Publisher, This Week Bangalore, and Member, Minority Morcha, BJP, Dr. S. Fazil Sait, Vice President, Aggasthiar Siddha Clinic, and Nagaraj Karanth, senior citizen, hoisted the national tricolor.
A large gathering of Karnataka Yuva Jana Sangha and local residents paid their respects to the Father of the Nation.
Addressing the gathering, Kishore Joseph reminded the people that Gandhi Jayanti this year was also being observed as Global Non-Violence Day. “Today, India is facing a renewed threat from terrorists and anti-social elements on a much larger scale, and the only way to fight that threat is by being united, irrespective of caste, religion, community, colour, sex or language. That is the essential message for which Gandhiji gave up his life. If the country has to withstand the terror threats, only governmental action is not enough. We the people of India, in every mohalla, every village, every town, every city and State have to stay united, whatever the provocation, whatever the motives of politicians and other mischievous elements to keep us divided,” he said.
