Letter to the editor

Sir,
When we see men standing in blue uniforms in Jayanagar 4th block traffic signal (or in many other places in Bangalore) and   controlling   traffic, some of us identify them  as traffic wardens and many  who are ignorant identify them as security guards doing a part time job
 
The reality is -many of them are highly qualified and are working as senior executives in multinational companies, Banks and other lucrative jobs. These men instead of talking of pollution, criticising Bangalore traffic have volunteered and got trained with Traffic Police and are devoting their leisure in helping traffic police to control traffic. There are occasions when some of them have taken leave from their  work and have managed traffic. Hats off to these action oriented professionals
 
We hope these men would be model inspirators to many of us who criticise Bangalore Traffic whenever there is an opportunity.
