Iftaar Daawat to all communities

For the first time Idgah Masjid, Jayanagar organized an all-community gathering at Jayanagar 4th Block on Sunday after the evening prayers. The theme of the meet was 'One World, One Family'.

The programme coincides with the arrival of the Holy month of Ramzan, and beginning of the Hindu festive month. People who attended the meeting recalled the need for maintaining unity and peace. Religious leaders reiterated that in all religions there are months of fasting be it Christianity, Hinduism or Islam.
The sequel to the programme was participation of Muslims in the Ganesha procession in Jayanagar 4th Block recently. It was very good gesture and received lot of appreciation when a lot of Muslims offered garlands and prayed in front of Lord Ganesha during the procession.

The community gathering was attended by local Ramalinga Reddy, BTM MLA, Corporators, President of Vinayaka Temple, Fr. Pascal of Christa Prabhalaya, President and other office bearers of Idgah Masjid, Jayanagar, office bearers and members of resident welfare associations and Mr.Ravi Kumar DCP (South) among others who attended include Bhaskarmurthy, and Keshukumar of Federation, Nayeem Durani, Secretary, Javeed Patel, Org. Secretary,  Fazeed Ahamed, manager of Jayanagar Idgha
Dinner which followed the meeting was attended by over 500 people from various walks of life and religions. All the people who attended were gifted with a copy of the Quran.
