Feldenkrais Theatre Workshop

Kirtana Kumar is organizing a Feldenkrais Residential Theatre Workshop on 27th, 28th, 29th September 2008 for all those interested in Theatre and Movement. The Feldenkrais Method will be taught by French choreographer, Michel Casanovas. Participants will first work on choreographed Movement sequences, and then train their voices by the introduction of text to movement. The text used will be Conference of the Birds by Sufi poet Fariduddin Attar. Thus body, voice and mind shall engage with the creative experience.
This workshop is designed for the enjoyment of Everyman - actor, computer-user, musician, student or engineer, as the main feature of the Feldenkrais Method is that it helps to increase mobility and agility in an organic, inclusive and natural fashion.

The workshop will be conducted in the beautiful and hilly countryside of Magadi, at Infinite Souls: Artists' Retreat & Training Centre. Thus participants can look forward to a weekend outdoors, complete with treks, tents and wood-fired pizzas, as well as a journey into one's self and creative potential.
