Mugilu 200 not out
Mugilu - a serial broadcast daily on ETV Kannada crossed the 200-episode mark last week. It is an important milestone for the series and an indication of how popular it is with the audience. The serial is telecast every night at 10. Starting next Monday, it will telecast at prime time, at 7.30 in the evening.
Produced by Time Code Films, Mugilu tells the story of contemporary Bangalore. It explores urban issues like the land mafia, city politics, eroding family values, drugs, divorce and problems among youth.
The producers of the serial are Haridas KGF, KM Chaitanya and Umesh. The serial is directed by Tilak, a young and upcoming director. Haridas was instrumental in the success of the Filmfare award winning 'Aa Dinagalu'. In this series, Haridas oversees production, story and editing. The series is shot by cameraman Prabhakar and edited by Gururaj.
In the cast are some of Kannada television's most popular artistes - Sharath Lohitashva, Pavitra Lokesh, Shruthi Naidu, Roopa, Ashok Hegde, Laxmi Chandrashekar, Pruthviraj and many others.
Now that the serial has been moved to the 7.30 slot, the team is gearing itself to making it more popular and appealing.
