BNV starts ward-wise "clean-up yatra"

Saturday, August 23, a new initiative will be started in Jayanagar assembly constituency by MLA BN Vija yakumar. Engineers, officials and workers from different civic bodies such as BBMP, Bescom, BWSSB, horticultural department, will go on a "yatra" to find out the problems faced by the residents and provide spot solutions wherever possible. Called as an Intensive Cleaning Workshop, the yatra will be taken out ward-wise. "With both the officials and workers present, the residents should make full use of this opportunity to get their grievances like street lights, collection of garbage, cleaning of debris, leaking drains, etc redressed on the spot," said Vijaykumar.

The workshop will kick off at 8 am on Saturday at 'T' Block, Jayanagar from 32nd Cross to 38th Cross. The schedule for other ward visits are as follows: Aug 30 - ward 64; September 6 - ward 57; September 12 - ward 59; September 20 - ward 60; September 27 - ward 58.

Vijaykumar appealed to all the residents welfare associations and citizens  are requested to list out their problems and represent their grievances on the day of the visit.

Appreciating the initiative taken by Vijaykumar, a senior citizen said this should be made a quarterly exercise, along with a review of the works done by the residents associations.
