An Eye for an Eye.

Shraddha Eye Care Trust, a charitable initiative of Nethradhama Hospital Pvt. Ltd, has been waging a silent campaign for spreading light among the blind, by educating people about donating vision and sponsoring the cost of eye operations for the poor and the needy.

Details of how a prospective donor can take part in their campaign are given below:
• Donate Rs 1,000/- to give sight to one blind person, by sponsoring the expenses for one cataract surgery with IOL implantation.

• You can specify a person or organization in whose name you wish to sponsor these services. The funding from the trust and its supporters will cover surgical costs, OT medication and consumables, running costs, building maintenance and screening camps.

• Sponsoring food for 30 patients for one day - Rs.3000/-.

• Sponsoring one cataract surgery expenses for eight years - Rs.8000/-.

• Sponsoring screening camp to detect various eye disorders and cataract for 200 patients or to perform 20 free cataract surgeries with IOL implantation – Rs 20,000/-.

• Rs.30000/- Expenses for conducting screening camp, transportation of patients to base hospital, food expenses and to perform 30-50 Cataract surgeries with IOL implantation.

• Donations can be given on a specific date every year to commemorate birthday, wedding & other anniversaries or any other memorable event dear to the donor year after year. The desired date will be annually intimated well in advance to the donor who will be afforded the opportunity to participate in the food distribution.

Dr. Ganesh, Managing Trustee, said naming rights and recognition policies are available to those donors who wish to have their philanthropy remembered for a period of ten years.

Donor exposure: Extensive PR support is provided for all large donations. Donor exposure can be attained through a special event. With media coverage: name on their website; etc.

Categories of donation and recognition policy of Shradha Eye Care Trust
Rs.500- Rs 9999/- - Trust Certificate of Merit.
Rs. 10000- Rs. 24999 -  Initiation to Trust thank you event and featured in newsletter
Rs. 25000- Rs. 49999/- - Wall plaque in a large, high traffic area, such as  a waiting area
Rs. 100000 – Rs. 249999/- - Name an outpatient clinic or a ward, with photo opportunity
Rs.250000 – Rs. 499999/- - Name a surgical theater, with photo opportunity
Rs.500000 – Rs. 999999/- - Name a ward, large clinic or clinical service department, such as overnight observation or day surgery wards.
Rs. 10 lakhs + - overall naming rights for a project like a satellite rural unit or a vehicle
