Cricket coaching camp for the Visually Challenged

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled organized a seven-day State-level cricket coaching camp for the visually challenged. Sponsored by cricinfo.com, the camp aimed to inculcate cricket in the lives of visually challenged individuals. 21 young visually impaired boys from varied backgrounds came together on the 24th of July and were trained in the nuances of cricket and Blind cricket in particular. The coaching camp brought together 21 boys from Mysore, Mandya, Chikballapur and Bangalore. A valedictory was held on the concluding day of the camp at Yavanika. Representatives of Samarthanam, cricinfo.com and senior government officials presided over the valedictory. G.K. Mahantesh, the managing Trustee of Samarthanam, Premdeep, Cricinfo.com and Devaraj, Joint Director of the Department of Disabilities congratulated the participants
