At 4th 'T' Block Jayanagar

Vijayakumar opens his office with a "grievance"!

The newly opened grievance cell of Jayanagar MLA BN Vijaykumar got its first grievance on the day of the inauguration itself from none other than the MLA! "My grievance," Vijaykumar told a large gathering, "is that you should not come to me five years hence without approaching me earlier with your problems and tell me you have not done anything to solve them."

Thanking Bangalore South MP and party national general secretary Ananthkumar for his continuing and encouraging support, Vijaykumar said it was Ananthkumar who pressed him to contest the elections even though he had lost two previous elections in the past. Also thanking the people for their support, Vijaykumar pledged to serve them and transform the civic face of Jayanagar. He also promised the people that he would request the CM Sri BS Yeddyurappa to spend a day for overseeing the development works in Jayanagar.
Vijaykumar promised that pending works such as the upgradation of the Kittoor Chennamma Stadium would be over in the next 3-4 months. He told the people that while they cannot expect "any magic" from him, he would definitely pursue all the development works and ensure they are completed in time.

Addressing the gathering, Ananthkumar described the newly opened office as a temple and not just a grievance cell. He said the office will also be available for holding cultural events and residents association meetings. Bangalore was today famous globally and in the US, they are afraid of being 'Bangalored', he said. He said the main credit for this should go to Jayanagar, the heart of the IT belt. He also assured the public that he would ensure that Bangalore south would get a budgetary allocation of at least Rs 200 crore out of the Rs 1,800 cr allotted for the development of Bangalore. Promising full support to his "friend" Vijaykumar, Ananthkumar said with his accessibility and cultured background, he should aim to be the number one MLA in the State.

BJP leaders Ashwathnarayan, Mangala Sridhar, former corporators CK Ramamurthy, B Somashekar, Kennedy Shanthakumar, city general secretary, BJP Minority Morcha, Kishore Joseph, Publisher, TWB, Praksh Mandoth, Founder President JTA, Bhaskar Murthy, President of Citizens Federation, Rama Rao, JP Nagar Residents Association, took part in the inaugural. Chandrakanth from Agricultural department gave away hundreds of medicinal saplings to the people.

The office is situated at 18th Main 4th 'T' block, Jayanagar, adjacent to ward 58 office. Vijaykumar said it will be open from 9 am to 8 pm and while citizens can meet him from 10 am to 12 noon, other party office bearers would attend to the grievances of the public the rest of the time. Residents welfare associations were welcome to hold their monthly meetings in the office, he said.
