Speaker orders probe

The Lok Sabha Speaker has appointed an Enquiry Committee on 26 July 2008 to enquire into the complaint made to him in writing the previous day by Sri Ashok Argal, Mahavir Bhagora and Faggan Singh Kulaste, MPs regarding alleged offer of money to them in connection with voting on the Motion of Confidence. The Committee consists of the following members :- Sri V. Kishore Chandra S. Deo, Chairman, Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Mohd. Salim, Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav, Devendra Prasad Yadav, Rajesh Verma, C. Kuppusami.

The Committee has been asked to give its Report by August 11, 2008.
