Donations for Ramakrishna temple

A universal temple of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna and Vivekananda Auditorium is proposed to be constructed at Tumkur, with the project cost estimated at Rs 2.5 crores. A life size marble image of Sri Ramakrishna will be installed inside the temple. These new structures will go a long way in conducting the spiritual, religious, cultural, educational and social activities of the Ramakrishna Ashrama. The Bhoomi Pooja (Ground Breaking Ceremony) for the construction was conducted on 21st November 2005, in the Holy presence of Rev. Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Trustee, Ramakrishna Math and Mission. Ashram sources said the construction activity at the site is going on in full swing. Some specifications of the temple: Overall dimension of the building - 25,500 sft; Height of the temple + Gopuram - 20+35 sft; Sanctum Sanctorum, (Shrine) - 810 sft; Vivekananda Auditorium (ground floor) - 14,500 sft; seating capacity - 1000 devotees; Sri Ramakrishna Temple (first floor) - 11,000 sft with seating capacity of 600 devotees.
Ashram sources have called for generous financial assistance and cooperation of the devotees, philanthropists, corporate sectors, charitable trusts, etc.

The donors can also give their contributions in instalments (if not in one). The names of the donors who contribute Rs.25000 and above will be engraved on marble slabs and displayed in suitable places of the new building.

All contributions to the Ashrama are exempt from Income Tax under 80G of IT act. The contributions may be sent in Cash / Cheque / Demand Draft.
