Ltd has launched two unique showrooms called Canon Image & Business solution Lounge in Bangalore where the customers can touch, feel and try the products. These lounges provide the most compelling and comprehensive display of Canon’s range of consumer and business offerings in a non selling environment to all kinds of consumers - from the casual buyer to the enthusiast.
Inaugurating the show rooms, Mr. Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO, Canon India and Mr. Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India said they were Canon’s first fully owned world class interactive and informative shopping experience outlet in the Southern region, and also doubled up as a B2B brand showroom for Canon products.
Located at Brigade Towers, Brigade Road, and spread over 2300 sq. feet, the state-of-the-art image lounge exhibits the entire range of Canon consumer product offerings like printers, scanner, projector, digital camera, digital camcorder and All-in-One device categories under one roof. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO, Canon India said, “Canon’s Image lounge is a unique ‘first of its kind’ concept in India serving as a guide for the digital enthusiasts by providing a ‘before-you-buy’ experience & information. This initiative is first of its kind in the South and we aim to capitalize on the niche created to enhance brand awareness. With this, Canon India seeks to create & win over more informed consumers, thus showcasing our long term commitment to the market.”
Sharing his sentiments, Mr. Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India said, “Although there are over 4000 retail points in India where Canon camera and printer products are available, we at Canon believe that there was a need for a platform for us to showcase our products and allowing the consumers to walk in, touch, feel and try our complete range of consumer offerings. By visiting the lounge, the customer can not only obtain first hand information on new products launched and make an informed choice of purchase, but is also not under any commitment to purchase.” He further added “We have displayed over 100 consumer products in this showroom spread over 7 zones of Powershot digital cameras, IXUS lifestyle cameras, Selphy photo printers, Digital Video camcorders, EOS Digital SLR, PIXMA single function and All-in-One printers and XEED Projector room. The Business Solution Lounge includes Multi function devices, laser printers etc.
A company release said Canon plans to set up three exclusive retail showrooms across the country. The first one was launched in the month of April at Gurgaon and the next one will be opening in Mumbai shortly. Initiatives like these are definite enabler for Canon to reach Rs. 700 crore by 2008.
Customers can visit the lounge by prior appointment and can not only obtain first hand information on new products launched and make an informed choice of purchase. Officials said the star attraction of the brand showroom was the newly launched digital Colourpress (ImagePressC7000VP) which gives printouts as good & even better than offset quality.
