Thanks to a pro-active JP Nagar I Phase residents welfare association, an encroached civic amenities site has been recovered and a park will be developed on the site, on 28th Main, 12th Cross, I Phase, JP Nagar. The association's past president, Mukund acknowledged the prompt efforts of Jayanagar MLA B.N. Vijayakumar in preventing repeated encroachments on the site. A formal puja was done to develop a park with walking tracks and beautiful landscaping on July 9. Going by the pace of the work, he said it would take 18 months and not 10 months as scheduled, and appealed for the MLA's intervention.
