CBSE Schools in B'lore Better Their Best

Schools in Bangalore have bettered their best in Class 12, going by the results announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Most schools in the city have secured a pass percentage between 97 and 100 per cent. The pass percentage for the whole of Karnataka stands at 95.98, which puts it at the third position in the Chennai region. Chennai region comprises Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Daman and Diu and Lakshadweep. The percentage, barring repeaters, is 96.57 per cent.

Most City schools have secured more than 90 per cent pass percentage with significant number of students scoring more than 85 percent in CBSE Class XII exam.Of the 4,437 students who appeared for the examination from Karnataka, 4,285 have passed. Overall 48,249 students appeared for the exam from the Chennai region, out of which 43,767 have passed. While the entire region comprised 1,510 schools Bangalore city alone accounts for 97 schools.

KV performance
Kendriya Vidyalaya school students have done their school proud. The average for the Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in Karnataka, Kerala and Goa, which comes under the Bangalore Region, is 97.18 per cent. There are 47 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the region, of which 39 have up to Class 12. Sixteen schools, of the 39, have secured 100 per cent results.

Toppers
CMR National Public School has lived up to its stature with its students securing 100 per cent first class. Karthik C. Lakshmanan has topped the Science stream with an aggregate of 98.25 per cent. The second place has been secured by Vyjayanthi Raja and Raghuram N., who have both scored 96.75 per cent.
Venkat International Public School recorded 35 distinctions, 15 first classes and five second classes. Lakshmi Narayan topped in the school with 94.2 per cent.

The pass percentage of Kendriya Vidyalaya DRDO, C.V. Raman Nagar, is 97.75. Sunisha Arora topped with 94 per cent, followed by Swapnil Saurabh with 93 per cent.

Dipthi R Kamath, science student was topper for National Public School, Rajajinagar scoring 95.2 per cent.
Sanjay Guru Prasad topped with 95% from the National Academy for Learning, Basaveshwaranagar, in the Science stream.

N. Sanketh of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hebbal, scored 94.6 per cent in the Arts stream.
