World No Tobacco Day campaign

BIG 92.7 FM, Bangalore, celebrated ‘World No Tobacco Day’ on Friday, May 30 across the city. The station kicked off with an on-air and on-ground activity titled ‘Dhum Iddiya’ (Do you have Guts) where they challenged smokers against smoking with some advice thrown in. A dummy in the shape of a huge cigarette was carried as a dead body across various parts of the city with high footfall areas to create strong visual impact.
People signed up on a Big banner to lend their support for the anti-tobacco campaign. An OB van, carrying BIG FM RJs gave live updates of the on-ground campaign.

A Yamraj character came on air to make listeners aware of the ills of tobacco and gave interesting alternates to smoking.
