Haier also announced the launch of 9 new refrigerator models, in both frost-free and Direct-Cool categories to further consolidate their position as No.1 BMR brand in the Indian market.
The company is targeting a 7 - 8% market share in refrigerators and 9 – 10 % market share in ACs in the fiscal 2009. Haier also plans to strengthen its air conditioner and refrigerator business through an aggressive sales channel expansion for its Home appliance business as well as expanding and consolidating its dealer and after-sales service network across the country in 2008 to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
A company release stated that some models in the new range of ACs are equipped with unique Hi-performance digital DC inverter technology that enables power saving by up to 51% in comparison with the contemporary air-conditioners of respective equal capacities. This technology takes the compressor motor to an idling mode rather than completely shutting it off, thereby eliminating the start up power load required for the compressor re-start ups. This less power consumption benefit is also combined with silent operation and uniform cooling. Some models also include features like Super Ioniser, four stage air filter, healthy UV ray generator, intelligent airflow, toughened glass and easy clean filters. These features ensure nature fresh air and eliminate dust and bacteria to ensure a germ free and healthy environment. The latest design innovations enable hi-efficiency performance that make Haier ACs quieter with better cooling and power saving. The extra features include multi functional remote control, LCD display, Auto Restart, Sleep Mode and Ultra thin sleek design.
