Dance festival

The Jayanagar-based Nrityakalamandiram will stage Bharatanatyam, Kathakali and Mohiniattam performances on five Saturdays, starting from Dec 30, as part of its silver jubilee celebrations. Titled the Bangar Fest, the performances will feature dancers from other States for the first time in shows organised by Nrityakalamandiran. The Trust is run by dancer and choreographer B. Banumathi. On Saturday, Dr Neena Prasad of Thiruvananthapuram will perform Mohiniattam while Sheela Chandrasekar and Snehasri will perform Bharatanatyam.
