Genesis' Bindaas Babes win II place

This weekend the Bindaas Babes of the JP Nagar-based Genesis School of Dance are going to have a blast. And why not? Check them out and you too will be tempted to shake a leg. For a dekko, tune in to Sony TV on Saturday, Feb 16, and also next week on Feb 22-23, at 8 pm.

The Genesis' troupe won the second place in the Boogie Woogie dance show organised by Sony Entertainment TV at Mumbai in the age-group of 14 years. The show is anchored by the famous Javed Jaffrey. Overall there were ten teams from Karnataka out of which two Bangalore-based teams managed to enter the last four stage including Genesis, which went on to win the second place. The Orissa group got the top prize.

All the Magn ific ent Seven dancers of Genesis were given cert ifi cates, as also the team's master choreographers, Rohit Nair and Praveen. The participants are Shreya Rao, Aishwarya Pavan, Ritika Shetty, Ansini, Ritika Srivatsava, Anusha Sridhar and Pooja.

Incidentally, Anusha Sridhar and Aishwarya were called last year for auditions in the solo and will get another shot at it this time too, says Anusha's mother, says Mrs. Poornima.

Genesis has been there done that, for over ten years in running, training over 2,000 students every year in aerobics and dance. Their alumni have revved up the action in corporate shows for Wipro, Hewlett Packard, Satyam, Mico Bosch, TVS, and Accenture, at the expert hands of master choreographers of Praveen and Rohit Nair, and fitness consultant Naina Praveen. In the past, their students have accompanied famous singers KK, Lucky Ali, Anushka, Mahua and Mathangi on stage, and performed for some of the top event management companies of Bangalore.
