Till now, the C in CET was always said to be ‘Controversy’. But now college campuses are singing to a new, and different tune. CET 2008 to be held by the newly formed Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for the first time is poised for a hassle-free, smooth take-off. Till now, private college managements and the State government used to be at each other’s throats, fighting over seats in engineering, medical and dental colleges. The ugly spat used to end up in the court and the students keeping their fingers crossed till the end. All this mental agony is now in the past for students taking up CET 2008, for a consensus has been arrived at by all the stake holders. It’s now time to throw all the extraneous worries away, return to your books and set the clock to April 19, the D-Day.
Students to take note
• Collect your brochure-cum application form on or after February 3, 2008 from the same institution where you have submitted the Demand Draft.
• Submit filled-in application form on or before February 13, 2008 to the respective institution without enclosing document/certificate. Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates should submit their filled-in forms to KEA office by speed post before February 18, 2008.

• CET Schedule:
a.April 19, 2008: Physics and Chemistry (combined paper) of 120 marks between 10 am and 12.30 pm.
b.April 19, 2008: Mathematics (60 marks) between 2 pm and 3.20 pm.
c.April 19, 2008: Biology (60 marks) between 4 pm and 5.20 pm.
d.April 19, 2008: Kannada Language test for Horanadu students – 11 am; Gadinadu Kannadiga students – 1 pm.
