Designer sarees for new year
In-house designer Saran Deep Sarees, Chennai, in association with Vivekananda Viewers is holding an exhibition cum sale of her exclusive new year collection of sarees in silk, cotton and poly cotton at Canara Union, 13th Cross, 8th Main, Malleswaram, from Dec 27 to 30 December.
Creations in rich Kanchi Silk, Tussar, Organza, Pashmina Silk, Koranadu, Korva and Rasi Silk sarees are available in bright and subtle colour combinations.
As in designs one can see a variety of hand embroidery like Kutch, Kasuti, cutwork, Aari, shadow embroidery, block print and outline thread work etc in fancy silk sarees. For the wedding season, there is a special range of bridal sarees with antique Kundan work. In ethnic range, there are a variety of block printed silk and cotton sarees from Rasipuram and Chettinad with contrasting blouses, in addition to abstract painting and Kalamkari peacocks with big pallu on lightweight silk sarees.
