SVC Bank & Buoyancee
Empowering Teens & Youth
While many co-operative banks are in the red and in all kinds of trouble, SVC Bank, which has completed a century of service, continues to be on the upswing. Recently, they acquired a co-op bank. Not just this, it is also showing the way when it comes to corporate social responsibility. Recently, it joined hands with Buoyancee, an organization dedicated to the cause of empowering the youth, and held a workshop for students on how to be motivated and gain in confidence.
According to a bank release, over 120 students from 40 schools took part in the workshop. The response was so good that the bank is now planning to sponsor a motivational poster campaign in many schools.

Buoyancee also conducts regular such courses in many schools and at their centre for students. One such was held earlier this week, which was presided over by Lion Harish Shetty, and Panchapakesan, Manager, SVC Bank. A book on motivation called Kshitij (Horizon) penned by Snehalata Rohidekar, wife of the late Ravi Rohidekar, who was the mentor of the Kaikinis of Buoyancee, was released on the occasion. |
