Saturday, Nov 17, will be a red-letter day for students and science teachers of Government high schools in the State. Synopsis (India), the Indian arm of Synopsys Inc, world leader in semiconductor design software, is conducting a one-day workshop for students and science teachers on that day, as part of its initiative to address the digital divide. The workshop will be a curtain raiser to the company’s annual event, Disha 2007, a one-day science fair for government high schools in the State that will be held on Dec 1, 2007. Synopsis is undertaking this event for the fifth consecutive year, encouraged by the response it got in the previous editions.

Winners competing in the exhibition get various prizes including sponsorship of a two week course at Visvesvaraya Science Museum during summer.
