If you thought Hobby is just fun, you have to visit Itsy Bitsy, India’s first hobby, craft and activity store in Banashanakari II Stage (near BDA Complex). Spread over three floors, you will discover that there’s nothing itsy bitsy about this store! While hobby classes are conducted in the ground floor, the top two floors open the doors to a world of do-it-yourself hobby products like card making, handmade papers, paper flowers, jewelry, and so on and so forth.

The spread of varieties is really breathtaking. You can take your pick from over 4,000 varieties of paper embellishments (for making your own greeting cards), 300 different paper flowers, 500 types of beads, pendants, and other exotica. Other choices are in party goods, gift wraps, return gifts, and miscellaneous products made out of jute, bamboo, fabrics, handmade papers, banana and silk paper, in a multitude of colours and textures.

Started in 2003 by Harish Closepet and Rashmi Harish, a product developer and designer, Itsy Bitsy’s products are mostly imported from US and the rates, they say, are a steal. With more than 500 employees working for them, Itsy Bitsy produces products both for the local as well as the export market. The store’s primary customers are the students community, and its handmade products, a great favorite for doing school projects.

“Itsy Bitsy means, a little thing can do big and better, and can bring out the best creative talent in you,” says Rashmi. They are also taking part in Chinnara Habba, a show for children, sponsored by Canara Bank.
For hobby lovers, there’s no other place to go, to shop, learn, or pick up new hobbies.
