Sangliana to lead rally

BJP MP HT Sangliana will lead a rally in the city on Saturday, Sep 22, against continued attacks on Christians. "The rally is aimed at creating awareness about the false allegations of forcible conversions leveled against Christians," Sangliana said and clarified, "I want to emphasise that this rally is not targeted against any religion, political party or individual."

The BJP leader also accused the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Home Minister MP Prakash of ignoring all his complaints on atrocities against Christians. He had apprised the two on several occasions but they had turned a deaf ear to it for the past 18 months, he charged. He also regretted that the police too had turned a Nelson's eye to such incidents.

The Saturday rally will culminate with a memorandum to the Governor demanding an end to the atrocities against Christians and conduct an enquiry into the nexus between perpetrators of such atrocities, politicians and police.
