Simran's collections: Simply Sizzling!
By Latika R. Chuganey

Want to look chic and trendy? City-based designer Simran Bhuraani has opened a brand new boutique at Seshadripuram that's as glamorous as the hostess herself! A bevy of ravishing beauties graced the inaugural viz. model cum actor Suman Ranganathan, Suma Sudhindra, and Malvika, daughter of Maharashtra Governor SM Krishna, Veena Bhat, Rekha Hande and Sandya Jain.

Simran's inspiration is from across the border, Pakistani painter Shakeel Saigal, Her designs are an amalgam of both sexes. The exclusive saree carries the fabric painted portrait and with a deft touch of re-embroidery, is transformed into a master creation. Simran's sarees and intricate blouse designs are very popular among the fashion conscious. For the festive season, her ensembles are designed with semi-precious stones and set in pretty zardosi.

With Indo-Westerns like tunics, fusion wear and saris in fabrics like brocade, salma and crepe silks in colours like peach, cream gold and mauve, Simran's look is entirely feminine and elegant. The sleeves are the most attractive section of the blouse. The sarees are designed in a combo of dark and light hues that can be worn on different occasions. Her collections also consist of tunics designed with different cuts, flares and puffed sleeves that can be teamed with a tight chudidar, push ups and colourful peddle pushers. The designer has mashed together a variety of floral prints that lend colour and vibrancy to her designs.

The matching clutches and shoes with abstract designs not only look bold but also create a sense of excitement that complement Indian ensembles very well.  A small collection of pashmina shawls are also available in various fabrics, textures and varied combo of colours.

To try Simran's sizzling collections, come over to Simran Bhurani's Galaxy, behind Seshadripuram College, opp. Narang Apartments, near Subramanya temple, KP West, or call 9845132421.
