Bannerghatta Road will soon get its biggest landmark: A Science City that the State government proposes to build at a cost of Rs 75 crore. Announcing this at the Stte-level Science and Technology Sammelan organised on Thursday, Minister for Science and Technology Ramachandra Gowda said 100 acres of land had been allotted for the project.
Reiterating that the government had done everything to promote science at all levels, the Minister pointed out that Karnataka was the only State in the country that boasted of a State-run Science and Technology Academy.
Earlier, the Government honoured CNR Rao, Chairman of the Technology Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister and UR Rao, Chairman, Karnataka Science and Technology Academy at the sammelan which was inaugurated by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
