Homeopathy wins loyalty test

When it comes to the user loyalty test, homeopathy appears to be a clear winner. According to a first ever survey on homeopathy, a staggering 82% of homeo users said they would not switch to conventional medicine treatment like allopathy. The users also gave a thumbs-up rating to homeopathy as a safe and preferred treatment especially for chronic ailments like respiratory, gastric, hair, and skin problems.

The survey also revealed a downside. That awareness about homeopathy was way low (62%). Commenting on the survey findings, Dr Mukesh Batra, CMD, Dr Batra’s chain of clinics, observed that from the citizens point of view, homeopathy was a treatment of last resort, i.e. people used to try it after all other treatments had failed.

The survey also drew a comparison between allopathy and homeopathy. While 59% opted for conventional medicine based on quick recall and 56% for immediate results, 53% chose homeopathy because it is considered safer, and 50% because it was recommended by relatives and friends.

The survey was conducted by AC Nielsen for Dr Mukesh Batra’s Positive Health Clinics (P) Ltd, and the respondents comprised homeo users, non-homeo users and Dr Batra’s customers. According to Dr Batra, it was meant to gauge perceptions about chronic ailments, homeopathy vs conventional therapy, and also evaluate the perception of Dr Batra’s brand.

Dr Batra is considered as the pioneer of the branded homeo clinic concept and he has successfully marketed this concept through his chain of 54 clinics spread across 16 cities.
