Usha Sridhar, Chennai-based inhouse designer presents an exhibition-cum-sale of specialty silk sarees from Chennai in enchanting designs at Badami Hall 916, 9th Cross JP Nagar 2nd Phase, from Aug 2-7.
An exotic collection of sarees and salwars on display gives visitors an insight into the trends in fashion today. The designer has done intricate hand-made designs in ethnic embroidery, painting and block printing along with an additional touch of surface ornamentation like Kundan, Zardosi, Applique, cutwork, sequins, mirror work, etc.
Other varieties include Tussurs, Chiffons, Doria Silk, Rasipuram silk and cotton, and Chettinad sarees, in vibrant colour combinations, ranging from white and ivory to pastals and indigo. The color combinations are such as to stoke your imagination viz. powder blues, baby yellows, night purples and forbidding reds.
