An evening to remember RD Burman

Ramya Cultural Academy has organized ‘Yaadon ki Baaraat’, a birthday special charity show in memory of the legendary R.D. Burman, considered as the original doyen of aesthetic modernity in Hindi film music, on Wednesday June 27, 2007 at 6.30 pm, at   A. D. A.  Rangamandira. The show will be presented in aid of NAMI, a home for destitutes.

Selected Hit Songs of RD Burman from Hindi films of the 60s-80s era will be presented by well known singers of Ramya Cultural Academy, Bangalore.

Donors’ tickets of denominations Rs 250/-, 150/- and 100/- are available at Calypso Music Store (III Block, Jayanagar), Butter Sponge Bakery (Basavanagudi and Indiranagar), Bun World (Malleswaram, Sadasivanagar and JP Nagar), Talking Headz Saloon (Brigade Road) and at Ravindra Kalakshetra Canteen.

Part of the proceeds of the event will be donated to ‘New Ark Mission of India’ (NAMI) – A Home of Hope, run by Sri Auto Raja, a philanthropist.
