200 saplings planted in J'nagar

World Environment Day was observed in Jayanagar 4th ‘T’ Block with planting of 200 saplings at Chethana Udyanavana park near Sudarshan Vidya Mandir School. Former Corporators Diwakar, Somashekar, Trustees of Chethana Kindergarten PK Ananth Kumar and Dayanand, and Kishore Joseph, Publisher, This Week Bangalore, presided over the tree planting program. The teachers and young children of Chethana Kindergarten also joined in the planting of saplings. Sri Ananth Kumar said the planting of saplings was to compensate for the trees cut to widen the roads.
