PAIN AND PLEASURE
By Ajit Kaikini
The whole world revolves around these. We either work to avoid pain or for pleasure. And the way you look at an incident makes the difference between an achiever and a mediocre.
Mahatma Gandhi concentrated on the pleasure that his people will get if he fought for independence and thus, did he divine the idea of the Satyagraha. If he had concentrated on the pain of going through the ordeals in the jail, he would have been de-motivated.
Columbus was motivated by imagining meeting new people and getting into new business as he left Venice. If he had concentrated on the unavoidable problems of travel, he would have never left the shores.
While one parent concentrated on the pain of losing money if the son did not make use of Buoyancee's Personality training, another mother saw the pleasure of her son getting the best job, which he did. Though both of them are Engineering graduates in their 6th semester, the one who lacked the Buoyancee training failed to make the grade, even though he had better marks to show up!

While one parent connected to the pleasure of saving money, the other connected to the pleasure of getting the best job. While the first one concentrated upon the pain of losing money, the other concentrated upon losing the opportunity. It is either to prevent pain or to get pleasure that we get motivated.
Have the right attitude to see the right thing in the right way!
