Rs 3-cr memorial for Dr Rajkumar

Finally, after needless huffing and puffing by the government , all hurdles have been cleared for the construction of the proposed Dr Rajkumar memorial. The state government has announced that the foundation stone for the proposed Rajkumar memorial will be laid at his samadhi in Kanteerava Studios before Tuesday, April 24.

The blue print is ready and a trust has been set up to oversee the construction work.

After some murmurs of dissonance between the thespian’s family members and the state government, it has now been decided to incorporate the suggestions of the family on the memorial.

An auditorium, museum, yoga Kendra and garden will form part of the memorial that is estimated to cost Rs 3 crore.
