"Give Bharat Ratna to Dr Raj": Samiulla

Karnataka Yuva Jana Sangh observed Dr. Rajkumar’s first anniversary by distributing shirts to 50 visually impaired people in 9th Block, Jayanagar. A free dinner was given to all those present on the occasion.

Presiding over the function, former Gurappanapalya corporator Samiulla said he would petition the central government to consider awarding the Bharat Ratna posthumously to Karnataka’s foremost legend.

Sri B.V. Ramesh, social worker recalled the last time he met Dr Rajkumar and said it was most unfortunate that the person who had dedicated his entire life to the development of Kannada and Karnataka was not there to take part in the Suvarna Karnataka celebrations. Sri K. Naidu, Govind, KLN Murthy Srinivas, Sampangiram, and M Rangadev were also present.
