A Retrospective on 75 years of Indian Cinema
Jayanagar-based VINMUSICLUB, on the occasion of its second anniversary, will present “75 years of Musical Journey in Indian Cinema – A Retrospective” showcasing the evolution and metamorphosis of Indian film music both in Kannada and Hindi on Sunday, April 22, at Ravindra Kalakshetra.
Ramya Cultural Academy will present Kannada and Hindi film hits of the bygone era in two sessions (10 am & 5.30 pm).
Veteran Music Director Rajan (of Rajan-Nagendra fame) and ace Cinematographer of the black and white era, V K Murthy, will be felicitated on the occasion for their invaluable contribution to Indian Cinema.

Actor-Producer Shivaram, Actor-Director Ravee (KSL Swamy) Lyricist R N Jayagopal, Music Director Hamsalekha, Director T S Nagabharana, V N Subba Rao, Chairman, Karnataka Patrika Academy, I M Vittalamurthy, Secretary, Information-Tourism & Kannada-Culture and the first National Awardee for Kannada Film Song, Shimoga Subbanna will grace the occasion apart from other dignitaries from different walks of life.
