Sringeri Mutt to open hospital

The Sringeri Shankar Mutt is opening a 100-bed hospital in its premises on May 2, where poor and needy kidney patients will be provided with dialysis at subsidized rates. The hospital is only one of the many initiatives being planned by the Mutt as part of its centenary celebrations.

A new wing will be added to the existing Jnanadoya school run by the Mutt, apart from a library for children, in association with Hippo Campus and Rotary Club. Mutt seer Sri Bharathi Theertha Swami will be in the city till May 14 for the celebrations.
