Failure exposes the battle within

Team India has been left exposed of the bitter struggle and ego battles of players and their inability to cope up with the style of its coach.

As the skeletons fall from the cupboard one is forced to understand that players let their hurt feelings to do the talking in the battle field at the world cup which could have led to the team's downfall and early exit from the cup.

The senior members of the team failed to perform at a crucial stage with players like Tendulkar and Ganguly making their infamous batting retreat. The BCCI is now responsible to identify the attitudinal approach of seniors who tend to hold the teams reputation to stake. No matter what is a player's reputation, it is important to bring out the truth. There is a need to improve bench strength by inducting promising talents while monitoring individual's behavioral tendencies. Senior players tend to over react to changes with ego problems.
