The 10th edition of India’s Largest Corporate 5s Football Tournament comes to an end

HDFC Bank – Mumbai were awarded as the national winners with an International Trip to Thailand

SPT Sports Management in association with Kingfisher announced the winner of 10th edition of Kingfisher Corporate 5s, India’s largest national corporate football tournament which concluded on October 24th, 2010 with a grand finale. The Team HDFC Bank from Mumbai took the honours by beating KREBS BIO CHEM - HYDERABAD (2-1) and was crowned the National Champions for the year 2010 and will be enjoying an all expense paid international holiday trip to Thailand. The teams which qualified for the finals were - KREBS BIO CHEM - Hyderabad; HP - Bangalore; Antares Systems - Chennai; Wipro - Delhi; WNS GLOBAL - Pune; HDFC BANK, Mumbai. HP Bangalore positioned 3rd while Chennai and Pune finished 4th and 5th respectively. The grand finale of the National Finals concluded with Casino theme festivities at the venue - SPT Sports Academy, Bangalore.
 
Each city winner was brought down to Bangalore on an all expense paid trip to play the national finals at the SPT Sports Academy on Sarjapur Road. The event was a resounding success, witnessing participation from top corporates from the respective regions and producing some breathtaking maneuvers on the field. It was a true exhibition of consistency, dominance and passion. The tournament played host to 2000 players from 180 companies across 6 cities.  The event is initiated, conceptualised and organised by SPT Sports Management Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer and a leading integrated sports management company. This is the only corporate tournament in India that has been conducted for 10 years without interruption.
 
Another special highlight of the finals this time was the football royale between the CEO’s Vs Celebrities, an exhibition match, a customary event of this tournament, which had the who’s who of the corporate and celebrity worlds battling it out on the football field.
