ABOUT TARANG
Tarang was founded by Mrs. Leela Grandhi and her son Mr. Kiran Grandhi, who started practicing the art of tanjore paintings from her home studio. Since then, Tarang has reached out to over 300 artisans with economic support, market exposure and artisan friendly terms. Tarang was created with a vision of aiding, promoting and preserving the interests of hundreds of dedicated artisans from across the country who are confined to practicing their crafts from their homes and rural regions. By supporting clusters of craftsmen and giving them fair wages, Tarang is creating a sustainable eco-system for the preservation of traditional Indian crafts. Tarang Arts thus works with Rural Artisans to enrich their lives and that of their families.
