Vagus Hospital, incorporating some of the most advanced state of the art medical equipment was inaugurated on Sunday by minister of state for home R Ashok. Located in the heart of the city, on Malleswaram’s 18th cross, the hospital has 150 beds and is equipped to provide all kinds of modern health services.

R Ashok also inaugurated the hospital’s Radiology/CT/MRI section while MLA Chelurayaswamy inaugurated the Cardiology section, MP BK Hariprasad inaugurated the Pharmacy section, & OPD section, MLA CT Ravi inaugurated the ICU and mayor SK Nataraj inaugurated the Neurololgy and Nephrology sections. MLAs Satish Reddy, S Muniraju, Vijaykumar and others were chief guests on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, hospital Chairman Dr KA Ramegowda said: “Our goal is to provide cost effective medical care to all sections of society. For this reason we have procured the best equipment and faculty. Our equipment is among the best in the country. Only Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital has the kind of CT scan and MRI equipment that we have. We want the people of the state and the rest of the country to make use of such advanced facilities. We have reserved 10 beds in the hospital for patients from economically weaker sections of society who will be provided treatment free of cost except for the cost of medicines. We intend to conduct health camps in rural areas every three months”.

Established at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crores, the hospital has 24 hour laboratory services. It also has MRI, digital XRAY, CRT, Cathlab, Cardiac CT, 4D-Ultrasound, Ophthalmology, Ventilator, Dialysis, Mammography and ambulance services for emergency cases.
