Graduation Day 2010 in Dayananda Sagar Institutions

Mr Sudhir Kant, COO of Avesthagen was  the Chief Guest at the DSI Graduation Day 2010  held on Saturday the 18th September 2010 at the DSI Campus at 4.30pm. This annual event is one of the biggest across the campus and in the city with over 2000 graduating students representing close to 15 disciplines participating in the event.

Year after year DSI has been fortunate to have amidst this august occasion accomplished people to do the honours. Past speakers at the DSI events include Dr N. Balakrishnan, Associate Director- IISc,  Mr TV Mohandas Pai – Director, Infosys, Dr Praveen Vishakantaiah-Country Head, Intel, Mr Vidya Sagar-Phillips, Dr Bob Hoekstra-Phillips  and Mr Ganesh Margabandhu, Head-Global Delivery, IBM.

The event  started  off with a graduation march (the passing out batch would be dressed in the formal graduation gowns and caps) led by the Military Band, freeing of pigeons, honouring of students for academic excellence, distribution of gold and silver medals to university rank holders, oath taking, fire works, distribution of certificates to the class of 2010 and special address by the Chief Guest and Dr D Premachandra Sagar, Vice Chairman-DSI.
