DSI Brings International Researchers’ To Exhibit At Its Campus

Dr. D. Premachandra Sagar Auditorium & Centre for Performing Arts at Dayanand Sagar Institute will host an exhibition showcasing 25 international researchers in association with Swissnex from 6th -18th September 2010. The event will also mark inauguration of 1st Year BE students.

 The Exhibition will begin with an inaugural talk by Prof Bernd Scholl, Professor for Spatial Development, ETHZ, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland at 11.00 a.m. on the 6th September. This will be followed by Introduction of SCIENCEsuisse by Dr. Hostettler and a speech by Dr. Netaji S Ganeshan-Principal, DSCE.

As part of the "SCIENCEsuisse" project, Swissnex presents the profiles of International scientists from a broad range of disciplines including exact and natural sciences, technical sciences, life sciences, human and social sciences. Swissnex is a key component of the Swiss strategic policy on the promotion of education, research and innovation set by the Federal Council. Apart from Europe the U.S, India, China, Russia and South Africa are priority countries for bilateral cooperation given their proven potential for scientific and technological development.

The exhibition aims to coordinate the network of partner institutions and researchers with a view to the development of a tradition of scientific and technological exchange; initiation and implementation of projects promoted with SER funds.

DSI firmly believes that the learning experience extends far beyond the four walls of the classroom. Hence it has created one of the finest campuses, spread over a sprawling 28 acres of land on a picturesque and peaceful hillock. Students can imbibe the many facets of a truly fulfilling learning experience in a very quiet atmosphere.
