92.7 BIG FM, the radio arm of Reliance Broadcast Network and Bharathi Cement Corporation Ltd. a leading manufacturer of cement, in association with Medimix, leading Ayurvedic and Herbal soap unveiled the ‘BIG KANNADA MUSIC AWARDS 2010’ an exclusive platform to recognize and celebrate outstanding talent in Kannada Music.
Marking the occasion, music personalities like K Kalyan, Yograj Bhatt, Rajesh Krishnan, Tarun, Kaviraj, Manjula Gururaj, & Prashant Raj were present at the unveiling show, where they casted their votes.
The BIG Kannada Music Awards- a humble attempt to recognize, thank and appreciate the efforts of all those who have contributed to enriching every kannadiga’s life with melody and entertainment. 6 decades, 2200 films and thousands of memorable hits and the numbers are just growing. 92.7 Big FM decided that it’s about time and not too late to celebrate the glorious, rich and promising Kannada music industry which has for aeons and will for aeons continue to enrich our ears, our minds and our lives.
With an extensive On-Air, On-Ground & On-Line Promotion plan these awards are a sure-shot way of connecting with the music-crazy kannadiga population, living not just in Karnataka but through-out the nation.
The grand finale, scheduled for August 22nd, 2010 will witness a gala Awards Night graced by stalwarts from the Kannada music & entertainment industry and will be aired on Karnataka’s leading channel Suvarna TV. This star studded evening will witness awards from various categories like Chamak Awards (Popular awards) that will have singers nominated in different genres of music like Love, Feeling, Tapaguchi, Vichitra, et many more. BIG KANNADA MUSIC AWARDS 2010 will encompass stalwarts from the Kannada music industry as jury members including Vijay Prakash, and Raghavandra Rajkumar for the Critics Award. The music award will be incomplete without the mention of the Lifetime Achievement Award for awarding one of the legends in the Kannada music industry who has contributed greatly through his music.
