With Naaniruvudhe Nimagaagi on Zee Kannada

Matinee idol, Hatrik hero Shivarajkumar, is donning a new role as the host of a reality show on Zee Kannada. The Badshah of Kannada cinema will make his debut in ‘Naaniruvudhe Nimagaagi’ a unique programme which aims at giving wings to the wishes and dreams of the common man.

‘Naaniruvudhe Nimagaagi’  which literally means ‘I am there for you’, is an adaption from a popular number rendered by Shivrajkumar’s illustrious father, the legendary hero Dr Rajkumar in the movie Mayura.
 The underlying message of the show is that Shivrajkumar will do everything in his capacity to fulfill the dreams of the ordinary citizen. It could be the desire of a terminally ill kid to receive the best medical treatment or something as simple as a poverty stricken old man wanting to dine at a five star restaurant.

 “Appaji always held the interests of the poor and downtrodden close to his heart and wanted his children to follow in his footsteps. Zee Kannada has given me an opportunity to fulfill the wishes of my beloved father and serve the people,” Shivarajkumar told reporters.

On his new role as a host, the actor added, “This is a much more challenging assignment than movies. In films my role is always scripted, but here I will be playing myself.”

Head of Zee (South) Gautham Machaiah said, “Shivarajkumar will bring freshness to regional television content through this touching programme which will tug at the hearts of the viewers. In this competitive world, the programme will rekindle the spirit of service and philanthropy among the people and create a better society.”

Zee Kannada Business Head J. Shekar added, “The concept of reality shows was introduced to Karnataka by Zee Kannada. ‘Naaniruvudhe Nimagaagi’   will now redefine the television viewing experience in the State.”

‘Naaniruvudhe Nimagaagi’   will air on Zee Kannada from August 30 at 9 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.
