Ramya Cultural Academy to Felicitate Dr. P B SREENIVOS

Ramya Cultural Academy is a registered charitable trust working for the cause of poor, meritorious students and young, upcoming artistes in the state. With over 200 events till date, the academy is a name to reckon with, since its inception in 1993 (brief summary of activities of the academy till date enclosed)

Dr. PBS, the last of the Legendary Playback Singers in the Indian Film Industry, is completing 80 on 22nd September 2010 Ramya Cultural Academy thought it fit to organise a Felicitation Event in his honour with a Musical Evening showcasing his contribution to the film industry, on Sunday, 26th September 2010 at Ravindra Kalakshetra premises, 6.00 pm onwards. Cream of music lovers, artistes, associates and other dignitaries from the film industry will be in attendance to grace the occasion.
The expenses for the event is estimated at around Rs.12 lakhs., Connoisseurs of arts and donors are welcome to sponsor the event fully OR partly. In turn, organizers shall facilitate display of banners or any other publicity material at a prominent place at the venue. Contribution by Cheque / DD  towards Sponsorship may be drawn favouring  ‘Ramya Cultural Academy, Bangalore’.

About Ramya Cultural Academy :
Ramya Cultural Academy is a registered charitable trust, working for the cause of poor, meritorious students and young, talented and upcoming artistes providing with required assistance since its inception in 1993, with a sense of social responsibility. Honour and Felicitation events to older and experienced, events to guide the younger generation in the right direction, events to aid the homeless and the downtrodden are the pattern of working of the academy. In the year 2001, through the year long programme ‘Geetha Maalike’ conducted every month, new aspiring artistes were provided platform
‘Madhura Sangeetha-Sumadhura Nenapu’ – Kannada Film Music in retrospect,  was a two-day programme conducted in 2000

Vintage Hindi Film hits programme in March 2001 in aid of Gujarat Relief Fund
All-night programme of Vintage Hindi Film hits programme in January 2005 in aid of Tsunami Relief Fund

‘Padma Bhushan’ Sri DEV ANAND Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding, untiring, continued contribution to the film industry as an Actor, Producer, Writer and Director for over 60 years, on Saturday, 19th  January 2008 at Gayatri Vihar, Bangalore Palace
Musical Event – Legend paying tribute to Legend – S. Janaki Musical Evening presenting Songs of Raj Kumar – 26th April 2008 at APS College Grounds
Two-day Cultural Event of  Dance, Music & Drama on the occasion of the Academy’s 15th Anniversary – 08th / 09th November 2008 at Ravindra Kalakshetra
