Shed a tear for the Unprivileged

Kalamandir, which is into the textile business from past several years at different parts of south India, has come forward to spread joy to the depressed in the dark. Kalamandir, with its recently
formed Kalamandir Foundation, has taken an oath to wipe the tears of underprivileged community. The first and foremost aim of the foundation is to attempt its best to remove pain from the browbeaten group.

Serving the society is embedded with Kalamandir. During yester years, one of the gaints in the retail textile sector, Kalamandir has been offering its social services by helping various non-governmental organisations. Recently, Kalamandir has established its own foundation to help all the needy in the society in whatever way possible.

“Kalamandir Foundations’ aim is to create opportunities and work towards a more equitable society. Already Kalamandir Foundation has made small, but effective strides in rebuilding humanity,” says Kalyan Annam, Chief Executive Officer of Kalamandir.

Chiranjeevi Eye an Blood Bank, TRIFED, ETV, EENADU and 98.3 FM Radio Mirchi are the programmed partners of Kalamandir Foundation.

Also, the foundation has a good number of programmes in its agenda to preserve nature and ecology, to save flora and fauna, planting trees, fighting against pollution etc. Besides fighting to eradicate Child Labour system, the foundation wants the children to get good education
too.


 “Significance should be given to the girl child in the society,” says Mr. Annam. Apart from these, the foundation has plans to hold programmes for healthy living, road and fire safety, awareness against diseases like breast cancer, polio etc. To build strong relationships between the
families, the foundation is organising programmes that promote respect to the elders and encourage joint families.

Kalamandir Foundation has successfully implemented its several programmes in the past and is wishing to extend its activities in several areas of Social Rehabilitation in Bangalore. The downtrodden from several underprevileged groups have benefited from the foundations’ projects over several months.
