Lions Clubs International
 The Cabinet Presentation of Lions Clubs International, District – 324 D1 was held on 1st August 2010 at NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bangalore.
Lions Clubs International, started in 1917, has its presence in 206 countries. District 324 D1 has 100 Lions Clubs in Bangalore, Mysore, Chamrajnagar area covering Six revenue districts. Lions International is the world’s largest service organization.
The Chief Guest for the Cabinet Presentation was Lion. Rohit C. Mehta, India’s first International President. Mr. Vijaya Kumar, MLA and Mr. M. Krishnappa, MLA were the Guests of Honour.
Lion Dr. PRS Chetan and his team of cabinet officers took over charge for the administration of 2010-11.
Service Activities Conducted:
1.Three children were grafted with Cornea and the children were able to see.
2.Donated Rs. 1.5 Lakh to Samarthana Trust for disabled.
3.New initiative to start Lions Kidney Dialysis Centre in association with
Bangalore Kidney Foundation (BKF) at an estimated cost of Rs. 50 Lakhs.
Project completion – December 2010.
4.Two Kidney Dialysis machines were donated to BKF.
5.Launch of 100 free Cardiac Surgeries in association with leading hospitals.
