J’nagar ARO ‘Smile Latha’ transferred

Jayanagar ARO (Assistance Revenue Officer) Mrs.’Smile’  Latha is a very rare ARO who served in the same office for over 3 years in one stretch.
News of her transfer to Gandhinagar all of a sudden came as a shock to residents of Jayanagar. Latha was known to be honest, non-corrupt, result oriented and used to receive her visitor with warmth. Many people said her transfer was a loss to Jayanagar.
Latha was known to have solved many problems and had a good rapport with officials and her seniors.
It is rare for an ARO to have served in the same office for three consecutive years, officials stated, which itself was an indication of her reputation and clean image.
The lady ARO has in her tenure seen three major elections viz. Assembly, Lok Sabha and the recently held BBMP election and handled issue of voters Identity card, inclusion of names in the voters Id card other than the revenue segment, where she did fairly well in reaching the target, by keeping good relationship with people who walked in to her office.
She also took an active part in the census plan for the entire Jayanagar constituency.
Commenting on her transfer Latha  said, first and foremost she was grateful to BN Vijaykumar for his respect and regard he showed for government officials and his positive attitude in working with officials in a transparent manner. She also thanked the people of Jayanagar for their cooperation and stated that she looked forward to serve the people in Gandhinagar. The ARO is due for her promotion in the next three months.
