Karnataka needs more service in Railways : Prakash Mandoth

Prakash Mandoth, Southern Western Railway member and JTA founder recently  met Shri. Vivekasahay, Chairman Railway board at Hubli at the board meeting of railways to review the performance of SWR, along with Shri. Kuldeep Chaturvedi, General Manager and put forth his new proposals and impress upon the proposals pertaining to Karnataka State, as many projects were pending without any decision and approval from the board.
He urged them improve the railway network in Karnataka in par with neighboring states such as Andhra and Tamil Nadu and demanded more connectivity trains within the state such as pilgrimage places and also to improve the quality of food served in the train maintenance of toilets.
Other specific demands were:
The super fast train to Mumbai, and a direct train to Jammu & Varnasi,  Dhearadum, Amristar, Gaya, Aurangabad and Idoor.
New Inter city train, Hubli to gulbarga, Hubli to Pune, Bjiapur to Mysore and Hassan to Bangalore.
Also suggested to introduce new projects to Tumkur, Davenegere, Dharward, Belgaum, Talaguppa  and Honnavaur, ding so it will give space to run more trains and also reduce the running hours and shall have alternative routes which will help to run and maintain railway operation during emergencies.
