Bangalore needs Civic Leadership
Dear sir
We have been hearing complaints on civic issues viz -Road widening,Tree cutting, construction of (not required) underpass/flyovers, CDP,Property tax , corruption,no accountability amongst elected representatives /officials and not conducting public hearing when major projects are undertaken
Many Resident welfare Associations, civic organisations and NGO's do make noise to express their protest and act as watch dog on specific issues of their domain. They are normally termed as not being objective and are not taken seriously .Unlike earlier Bombay, which had Jurist Nani Palkhiwala and Anna Hazare, who had support from all walks of life were heard by any Government which ruled Maharastra, It is high time Bangalore needs one .Perhaps in the prevailing situation, Justice Santosh Hegde or former Chief Justice of India Sri M N Venkatachaliah may fit the bill
Regards, N.Mukund
